Peter Tippett, MD, Ph.D. is the CTO of TruSecure Corporation, the Chief Scientist at ICSA Labs and the
Executive Publisher of Information Security Magazine.
He specializes in utilizing large-scale risk models and research to create pragmatic, corporate-wide security.
Dr. Tippett studied under two different Nobel Prize laureates at Rockefeller University and has both an
MD and a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. He is widely credited with creating the first
commercial anti-virus product, which later became the Norton Anti-virus.
Dr. Tippett was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 1998 and led
TruSecure / ICSA Labs to the Inc 500 list.
Dr. Tippett has spoken on all major television and radio networks.
He has briefed and consulted with the Congress, the Senate, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and
numerous large and medium organizations and governments on practical approaches to computer security.
